Head of Islamic Culture and communication Organization Mr. Ebrahimi Torkaman in his meeting with Greek Religious Affairs Minister said Iran - Greece relations is based on numerous shared culture.
According to Public Relations and Information Center of Ministry of Culture, Mr. Torkaman during his visit to Athens discussed ways of expansion of cultural ties between Iran and Greek with country’s Minister of Education and Cultural Affairs.
Mr. Torkaman while calling for promotion of cultural relations between Tehran and Athens invited the Greek Minister to take part in 7th round of Dialog between Islam and Orthodox Christianity.
He suggested that next round of the dialog to be held in Tehran and also underlined importance of signing memorandum of understanding between the two nations to boost cultural ties.
Greece Minister of Religious Affairs said Iran and Greece have good cultural relations and described Islamic Republic as harbinger of peace and friendship.
Mr, Torkaman also met His Excellency Archbishop Ieronymos Second of Athens and attended the Seven Round of Dialog between Islam and Orthodox Christianity that was held in Greek Island of Vels on April 26-29.
