Review of the modern developments of Iranology in Russian Federation attended by Iranian Cultural Attaché to Russia, took place at Oriental Studies Institute in Moscow.
According to Public Relations and Information Center of Ministry of Culture, Islamic Communications Organization in order to evaluate the status of Iranology, organized a panel to review the current developments on Iranology in Russia.
The gathering took place on March 6 and was attended by Persian language professors and lecturers from various Russian Universities.
Iranian Attaché to Russia Mr. Reza Maleki while referring to history of Iranology in Russia, underlined importance of studying Iranology at the time of new relations between Tehran and Moscow is taking place. He called for establishment of a joint cultural committee between Iran and Russia.
Another speaker at the meeting was Abulhasan Khlaj Monfared Managing Director of Promotion of Cultural Relation with Europe and The United States told the gathering, becoming of Iran and Russia as strategic partners has contributed to peace and stability of the region.
Vitali Navmkain, a member of Russian Science Academy while welcoming the participants said history of Iranology studies in Russia dates back to 200 years ago adding that all out cooperation between Tehran on Moscow would help development of Iranology.
Head of Persian Section at Russian Iranology Study Center talked about the cooperation with Iranian Cultural Attaché in the past 2 decades. A large number of Russian scholars and academic also attended the gathering. .
