By joint efforts of Iranian Cultural Attaché and Arab Journalists and Writers Association in Spain a gathering was held at Foreign Journalists Association Center in Madrid on The Middle East Amid Resistance and terrorism.
According to Public Relations and Information Center of Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance, the first speaker of the gathering was Pablo Sapeg, an Spanish researcher and university lecturer who commenting on resistance in the Middle East said a fact that needs to be underlined is that Middle Eastern countries are experiencing their worst time since their independence, especially following the invasion of Iraq by The United States in 2003.
He said despite the tragic chaos in the region, still there is hope for the future of Arab countries because while countries of region are considered as failed states but 70 years of resistance by Palestinians and struggle by Lebanese against Zionist Regime for the past 15 years, in addition to popular resistance in countries such as Iraq and Syria Against the terrorist Group of Daesh, show that resistance is still alive in Middle East.
According to Spanish researcher, Syrian people are resisting for 7 years against west and their allies who want to destabilize this country by terrorist groups. He added that terrorism does not grow by itself and as we remember, the US and British think tanks in 2015 and 2016 were saying that Daesh should be recognized as an economic and political reality because this group is to going to stay.
Mr. Sapeg said what is going on in Syria is not a civil war as always claimed or even a sectarian conflict, but Syrian people are fighting for seven years to preserve their sovereignty and territorial integrity which is being threatened by foreign backed terrorist groups.
An Iraqi prominent clergy, Hojatoleslam Saleh Hakim, was another speaker of the gathering who talked about terrorism, resistance and the need to refrain from terrorism.
He said terrorism and resistance are tow universal concepts and the world we are currently living in, is a failed and worn out world adding that mankind needs a new world that is base on cooperation and communication.
According to this scholar, governments have made three grave mistakes with respect to environment, poverty and terrorism.
Third speaker of the meeting was Iranian Cultural Attaché to Spain Mr. Alireza Esmaeeli who talked about terrorism a phenomenon which contradicts rationality and Sharia and said extremism originates from fanaticism, irrationality and disrespect to Sharia.
