Afghan Minister of Hajj and Endowment, meeting head of Iranian Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization asked for transfer of experience by this organization to his Ministry.
According to Public Relations and Information Center of Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance, Faiz Mohammad Osmani who is currently visiting Iran, in his meeting with Mr. Hamid Mohammadi said Afghan Ministry of Hajj and Endowment needs a fundamental house cleaning to be able to render better services to people and since Iranian Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization had made considerable progress in recent years we are eager to take advantage of its assistance.
The Afghan Minister said we need Iran’s help and assistance in various areas including education of issues related to Hajj pilgrimage, financial management and service provision to pilgrims and hope by meeting Iranian concerned officials can secure needed assistance.
Head of Iran’s Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization while welcoming scientific and educational cooperation with Afghanistan, expressed his organization’s willingness to transfer its experiences to afghan authorities.
Mr. Hamid Mohammadi said this year between 90 to 110 thousands Major Hajj pilgrims and some 700 to 900 thousands Minor Hajj pilgrims have been sent through his organization to the holy city of Mecca.
While elaborating on his organization’s experiences and potentials, Mr. Mohammadi called his Afghan guest to provide a list of their requirements so that preliminary measures can be taken to start cooperation.
He also called for further cooperation to facilitate visits by Afghan pilgrims to Iranian holy sites and shrines.
