Iran and Pakistan friendship Society meets in Hyderabad
Iranian Cultural Attaché and person in charge of Iranian Cultural House in Hyderabad held a meeting with some honorary members of Irano-Pakistani Friendship Society.
According to Public Relations and Information Center of Ministry of Culture, in this meeting between Ahmad Abdullahpor and a number Pakistani cultural dignitaries and journalists, participants discussed historical and shared cultural heritage. Iranian Cultural Attaché to Pakistan talking about architectural features of the Iranian historical city of Yazd said houses in this Iranian city are mostly made of mud bricks and due to wind towers and old public baths and houses made with local materials, this city has been registered as world cultural heritage site and in 2017 UNESCO named yazd as the first mad brick made city in the world . One of Pakistani officials said Hyderabad had also wind towers like Yazd but because of urban development, this attractive feature of the city has already disappeared. The Iranian official presented his Pakistani guests with a copy of Hafez’s Divan, Iranian renowned poet who is very popular in Indian sub-continent.
