Ayatollah Javadi Amoli in meeting Minister of Culture: Saudis must know that holy sites are not their monopoly
Ayatollah Javadi Amoli a prominent clergy and source of emulation residing in the holy city of Qom in meeting with Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance said, we should respond to Saudis onslaughts, other countries have problems with Saudis and we should make them to realize that holy places are not their monopoly. According to Public Relations and Information Center of Ministry of Culture, Ayatollah Javadi Amoli told during his talks with Mr. Jannati on Tuesday May12,2016 said Hajj is a very important issue and is the means of our relation with all Muslims when we gather in holy Mecca. He added that but for those who have become financially capable of performing this year’s major Hajj should know that they are not religiously bound to perform this religious ritual this year because the situation is such that dignity of Muslims is the priority. Commenting on other topics, Ayatollah Javadi Amoli said unfortunately the per capita of reading book in Iran is very low and Iran is not the country of books. He added that however is the country of wisdom and rationality and people despite not reading enough books are socially aware and expect all of us and government officials to be frank and righteous. This prominent clergy said Islam has bestowed many rights for Muslims and they should enjoy a dignified life. They expect us to acts and not just to words
