General Manager of Farabi Cinema Foundation, currently visiting Armenia, met the Armenian Minister of Culture and discussed issues of mutual interest.
According to Public Relations Department of Farabi Cinema Foundation, during the meeting also attended by Iranian Ambassador to Yerevan and Manager of Armenian National Cinema Center, Armenian Minister of Culture Mr. Armen Amirian talking about long history of friendship and peaceful coexistence between Iran and Armenia, expressed his government’s willingness to expand cultural and movie industry relations with Iran.
Referring to the letter of understanding signed during Mr. Alireza Tabesh, General Manager of Farabi Cinema Foundation visits to Yerevan, Mr. Amirian Said Iran is an important neighbor for Armenia and relations between the two countries is in excellent shape adding that Tehran and Yerevan have started a new chapter in their cultural ties.
He thanked Iranian concerned officials for helping jointly produced movie “Yeva” and said screening this film in our cinemas across the country, has made us more determined to boost our cultural relations with Iran.
Iranian Ambassador to Yerevan Mr. Kamal Sajadi for his part said we are interested in promoting our all out relations with Armenia and called for closer cooperation on jointly produced films.
Mr. Tabesh conveyed warm greetings of Iranian Minister of Culture Mr. Salehi to his Armenian counterpart and commenting on the screening of movie Yeva in Armenian cinemas and signing of an agreement between Tehran and Yerevan for jointly made films said art and culture are language of contemporary world.
