Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance in a meeting with his Serbian counterpart discussed the issues of mutual interests.
According to Public Relations and Information Center of Ministry of Culture Mr. Salehi Amiri while briefing his Serbian visitor about various departments of his ministry said Iran and Serbia can cooperate in numerous art and culture areas including music, dramatic and visual arts, cinema and media outlets.
He added that cyber space, printing, holding book fairs and art and cultural festivals are among other sectors which Iran and Serbia can work together.
The visiting Serbian Minister of Culture while expressing his pleasure for being in Iran said Iranian participation in last year’s Belgrade International Book Fair was very valuable and positive.
He added that Tehran- Belgrade relations is satisfactory presently and two countries have concluded a number agreements and MOU in various fields.
The Serbian Minister of Culture called for translation of books from Serbian to Persian and vice versa and said by such works people of two nations can become more familiar with each other.
He also called for increased exchange of visits by media delegations between Tehran and Belgrade.
