Minister of Culture: Presence of ethnic groups and followers of divine religions is a blessing for the country and we do not have minorities in Iran
Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance commenting on the peaceful coexistence of followers of divine religions in Iran said presence of various ethnic groups and followers of divine religions is a golden opportunity for the establishment and the government and we are pride of them According to Public Relations and Information Center of Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance, Mr. seyyed Reza Salehi Amiri in a dinner banquette held in honor of representatives of divine religions, while congratulating the anniversary of the Islamic Revolution said our catchwords are unity, brotherhood, frankness, solidarity, cordiality and sympathy toward all people. He added that presence of various ethnic groups and followers of different divine religions in the country looks like a rainbow in the sky of Iran. Mr. Salehi Amiri said I am not easy with the term "minority" in reference to ethnic groups and followers of various divine religious groups and have advised all scholars and thinkers to coin anther word to replace the word minority. He said all Iranians are equal and there is no discrimination in the country. Calling culture as the essence of unity, Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance said today countries like Syria, Libya, Iraq and Yemen are suffering from devastating wars but Iran is the safest country in the region and this is due to presence of knowledgeable people in our country.
