Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance in a meeting with Syrian Minister of Culture in the holy city of Mashhad, while describing Syria as the frontline of Islamic World said we hope that Syrian security and dignity to be preserved forever
According to Public Relations and information center of Ministry of Culture, Mr. Reza Salehi Amiri said we have used all our political potentials to introduce the real image of Islam to people of the world.
He added that the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Republic also pays special attention to Syrian security and fighting against terrorists.
Commenting on the destruction of Syrian cultural heritage and historical monuments by extremist and terrorist groups, Mr. Salehi Amiri said we hope that in near future the terrorist groups to be expelled from Syria and peace and tranquility to return to the country.
He went on to say that Iran and Syria have long history of cultural ties and shared common cultures
Syrian Minister of Culture in his meeting with Mr. Salehi Amiri, referring to deep and historic relations between Tehran and Damascus said Iran and Syria have common understanding about fighting terrorist groups including DAESH adding that these groups have depicted a distorted and violent image of Islam in the world.
Referring to Mashhad as the Cultural Capital of the Islamic World, the Syrian Minister of Culture said this great cultural event can be a turning point for holding further Islamic events.
